SOFAD online courses are ideal for you if you answer “yes” to one or more of the following situations:
Online courses let you learn at your own pace, in the environment you prefer, whether in a classroom or… virtually anywhere around the globe!
If you are the type of person who wants to manage your own learning experience, our online courses are ideal. They encourage personalized learning with an open and flexible approach. In addition to providing you with the tools you need to learn, these courses let you develop the work method that suits you best.
Our online courses include multimedia and interactive content. The program is designed to give immediate feedback to all the information you provide. It will also act like your online “learning partner,” as our courses have the ability to monitor your progress and respond to your questions online using “intelligent” computer support systems.
If you know how to use the basic functions of a browser and an email application, you are equipped to take part in our online courses.
Yes. If you are registered with a Québec school board, you have access to course help and support during your online studies, either from a tutor if you are with a distance education institution, or from an instructor if you are registered at a centre.
Independent learners (not registered with a school board) do not have access to course help and support.
During your online learning, you will be able to check your progress and your mastery of new skills through several methods that are part of the course structure.
To obtain course credits, you must pass an official exam administered under supervision through a school board.
Consult the list of courses that are currently available on eduSOFAD. Each course has a “demo” you can try in order to explore the approach and activities used in each course before making your final choice.
To begin, you must create a personal account on eduSOFAD. This account contains your own personal file and is confidential. Through it you can access your eduSOFAD courses, the results of your placement tests, and your eduSOFAD email.
Next, you must obtain access privileges to the course or service you are interested in. You can do this yourself or contact your school board to assist you. Then simply find the list of courses on eduSOFAD, click on the course you plan to take and choose your desired method of payment. Online payment is the quickest way, but you can also pay by fax or regular mail.
After your payment has been received, sign into your personal account. You will see a link that will take you directly to your course.
Your access to the course lasts a certain number of weeks the time limit is determined by eduSOFAD. Check the course description for the exact number of weeks allotted to a specific course.
However, your school board may have some restrictions as to the time limit for completing a course. Check with them for more information about course deadlines.
Check the Catalog page to see the basic fee for each course. Please note that the basic fee covers the cost of access to the online content only. There may be other fees required by your educational institution.
If you still have a question, you can have a look at the Learners - Policies page, click on the FAQ section, or contact our Client Services.
